Dear Dr. Wakefield,

I'm so angry about this "disinformation tactic" the industry is using. I'm sorry you're going through this, but stand on your integrity and the fact that you are able to sleep at night! Parents are behind you; we're not that easy to fool.

Yes, I have 4 VCR tapes of my son before and after his MMR shots. They're all date/time stamped and the vaccine administration date is recorded. My tapes show OBVIOUS proof that the MMR started his decline into ASD. You might want to consider that the MMR (live measles) is causing an autoimmune response against the myelin sheath.

I am sickened by what is happening to our children and heartbroken. The media is now spinning this as "another state of normal." I will NEVER accept this as it is NOT normal for children to be in a constant state of confusion. Let's continue the fight in finding a reversal to the damage the vaccine is causing.

By the way, the top scientist who testified in the trial left out an important piece of information...he said "The blood and intestine of children with autism was tested for the live measles virus against a control group of children." His next statement was "The virus was not found in the blood"...he neglected to mention the intestines..on purpose I'm sure, as the live measles virus is found in the intestinal tissue.

I think my son had a problem after the DTP; he had a lot of diarrhea and repeated ear infections. He had his MMR at 15 months; we first lost eye contact then speech, his skin had patchy bits that looked like red sandpaper, he screamed, drooled, giggled, didn't sleep. he seemed to be either lethargic and staring into space, and occasionally he would charge about. We lost the happy boy we had. We have made huge progress with biomedical interventions, special dietary measures, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and we are trying to heal the gut and the bowels. If only I hadn't listened to our regular medical people for so long my son would not have endured so many years of pain. I have to thank Dr. Wakefield for giving me good advice when I was desperate and my son was very ill, for giving me time and explaining what to ask our bowel doctor. I will never forget his kindness. We had just arrived back from the US (treatment for Ian with Scott Smith) the day the court ruled against. I watched in disbelief, and fury. I thought justice and truth would prevail. I was wrong this time. I hope we will be able to support more. We are thinking of you all and send our best wishes.

I lived in the same house as my bright and intelligent nephew. He had the triple jab - within 8 hours he was running a high temperature, and 2 hours after that he suffered a major fit. It lasted 72 hours on and off despite phenobarb. He recovered physically but mentally he has stayed an infant.

I did not have my daughter vaccinated after that. The price is too high.

Anyone who stands up to the greed and lies of the pharmaceutical companies is a hero.  The MMR made my son ill and I haven’t let him have the booster.  The government (supported by the media) are so keen to blame parents for not having the MMR and therefore not protecting their children.  If they were so  concerned they would simply provide the single jabs. Of course they have something to hide and something to prove. 

Knowing about the lies and deceit surrounded the MMR prevented me from letting either of us have the Swine Flu jab.  How glad I didn’t have it!  My mother, an incredibly healthy 80 year old was made very ill indeed by the jab.  So was my mother in law and a friend of hers.  All three had to be admitted to hospital. 

Well done, Andrew, keep fighting.

It was with some considerable distress and anger that l watched the news yesterday. I send all our love and support to you and your family at this time. Although we have never met l will always be in your debt. Because, without a short phone call we shared many years ago, l know my son would not be the brilliant young man he is today.

After a single paragraph we had seen in the paper regarding your research l telephoned you at the hospital and you showed me, in just a few minutes, so much compassion and care.

I had been hitting my head against the wall with my GP and consultants at Worcester and Birmingham Hospitals after our son became ill at 10pm on the night he had the MMR in 1995-6. His character had changed overnight fluctuating between manic periods of hyperactivity to sitting propped up in corners or walls staring vacantly. He also became obsessive about lines - lines of cars, toys, chairs, etc. Previously he had been a normal little chap and, as he was my third child and l have worked with an autistic adult, l do feel l am experienced to reach that conclusion.

He also developed terrible bowel troubles often having to use the toilet during mealtimes, excreting the food he had just eaten.

The medical diagnose at this time "Parenting Issues"!!!

My call to you was a long shot, and l just thank you so much for taking the time to speak to me. Fuelled with the information you gave me regarding diet and your reassurance that l was not mad, l felt l had the tools to help Matthew. And have been ever since.

We had a referral to the Royal Free and we also removed all dairy and wheat products from Matt's diet.We also signed up to be part of your research but only received one visit to collect blood samples.

So where are now? Well quite simply always in your debt!!!

Matt is a strong, fit intelligent young man. Often short on words until he hits a subject that captivates him and then his thirst for knowledge is quite powerful. Not too strong with his literacy but has incredible Three D perception and is extremely talented with construction using his hands. He has opted to do a Diploma in Engineering rather than GCSEs . His report is outstanding stating he his a very able. committed learner and very lovely character.

This is such a difference to the young boy who never slept and chewed chuck of skin from his hands and the inside of his mouth.

My husband and l are both convinced that without your guidance all our lives would be very different.

I do hope this message gets to you and please if we can ever do anything to help with your research or campaign please contact me.

After our son was born with severe autism in 2001, and the subsequent nightmare that followed with our trying to deal with the medical establishment (yes, the fight with the system was/is worse than the autism), and the truths we learned about vaccinations, Big Pharma and the government, along the way, little surprises or shocks me anymore.

I was a nurse and in the medical field for almost twenty years before our son with autism came along. I have learned more about true health in these last nine years than all of the years leading up to them. I also learned how the "system" works.

Dr. Wakefield, you are being made an example of. Watch the movie "Bugs Life." You will see that Hopper the grasshopper has to beat the living snot out of Flick the ant for standing up for all the other ants, against the oppressive, powerful grasshoppers. In the end, the ants prevail in short order, but in the case of real life, I am afraid it is going to take a lot longer than that, and the body count, in terms of sick children and railroaded doctors, is going to be high. You are one of the first.

I and many others have given monetary support for your fight, and I am sure you have many in your corner offering emotional, legal and other forms of support, which I am sure helps, but in this evil world, it is not getting the job done of meting out the justice that is deserved.

You are a hero. And you are one of the first to take an unjustified fall in this war for truth and righteousness.

I cried yesterday. I have not cried in a very long time. This world is an evil place, but we must never give up, no matter what.

Thank you for your personal selfless sacrifice in this war.

P.S. Because of alternative therapies, and doctors brave enough to offer them, our son is very high functioning now. No more runny poop. His medical, social, communication, behavioral, and educational issues are all coming along very nicely. Please continue all that you are doing. My son is recovered, due in part to a wonderful doctor that you work with. I know that he has learned from you. We in the Autism Biomed Recovery Movement have learned to listen to those who are successfully recovering children and dismissing those who are not. It's listening to the successful practitioners that rids our children of their disabling symptoms. My child has spent the last three years in regular high school classes, without those around him aware of his past, where he struggled just to make it through special needs classes. Kyle says he has no regrets being recovered, and recommends others to try recovery. He says he has been pulled out of the "fog." It's amazing! Please know that those in the Autism Biomed Recovery Movement think that you are a very brave man, daring to speak the truth, when so many other professionals have already warned us that many have been fired and delicensed just for sharing what they learned, even though patients have not complained nor been harmed. I would like to add to the support for Andy Wakefield. The treatment that he has had from the medical council is completely wrong. Without his help Rory Adams, who is now 17 years old and lives in Cambridge MA in the USA, would have never progressed from his acute autism.

Andy looked after Rory for Heather and Mark Adams about thirteen years ago and was the most wonderful source of help, advice and medical care that any patient could look for. Without his research and attention Rory might never have been treated for the bowels disorder that was causing him incredible pain and he might not have grown up into the person he is today.

I would like to say that should the GMC decide to strike him off the register it will be yet another miscarriage of justice from a body who make too many mistakes.

I wish him all the luck in the world and hope that his venture in the USA is a great success and that he continues to be a help to many of the children who have shown that they respond to his treatment for bowel disorders and autism.

Dear Dr Wakefield

I just wanted to inform you of the problem my son had after receiving the MMR vaccine.

I reluctantly gave my son the MMR vaccine after being told by my ped in Harley Street that he could not get one part of the single vaccine for almost 8 months.

Seven days after the MMR my son developed measles like symptoms, but more concerning he lost complete use of his legs for over one week. I took him to the GP and he said he had never seen this happen before. Thankfully he is OK now but it could have been a lot worse. My son has silient reflux and this backs up your theory about the MMR jab causing problems for children with gastro problems. I'm sure I'm not the first parent that has had this problem,

What I find frustrating is that this has not been recorded centrally anywhere other than at my GP's surgery [office] and I feel that if there was a central place where issues resulting from the MMR could be held then maybe the government would spend some money researching why this happens rather than trying to disprove your theory.

If there is such a place that I can report this then I would be grateful if you could let me know.

My son has ASD, he also has a severely disrupted gut as a result of major insults to him as a baby. The changes to him solely as a result of gentle dietary changes and supplementation with probiotics have been enormous. There is no getting away from the fact that Big Pharma is selling us lies and that governments are promoting those same lies. We are seeing the same thing in birth as well all over the world - same culprits, same profit motive.

My grandson was severely affected after receiving the MMR vaccination. He was taken to Dorchester hospital where he received painful iron transfusions. He was then passed to Southampton hospital with no diagnosis and then eventually to the Royal Free Hospital in London. He was a bright healthy baby with no feeding, health or behaviour issues until he received the MMR vaccination. We believe in Dr. Wakefield and his research into the connection of the MMR vaccine and autism.

We understand that measles is a very serious illness and can have severe consequences if children are not vacinated, but why, oh why do they have to put all three vaccines into one jab into a young child? One at a time would be overly enough. Why do they not vaccinate girls with measles and rubella in separate doses and boys with measles and mumps in separate doses? The newspapers and internet could call a survey as to whether parents would be prepared to have their children vaccinated in this way.

Dr Wakefield you have the support of ten adults in this family.

Dear Dr. Wakefield,

We are an Italian-German family living in Berlin. We do have a child who regressed after the MMR vaccination. The first symptoms came from the gut, and he still has constipation. We went even to pediatric gastroenterologists in Berlin, but what really was going on with our child, they cannot find. We did research and finally after many hours late in the night in the Internet, we found out from his symptoms that there is an illness called autistic enterocoltis, and that Dr. Wakefield found out what the cause of this disease is. Then we did antibody testing and found high measles antibody titers in his blood. After a long research in the Internet we decided to treat him with high doses of Vitamin A for 3 days with our physician here in Berlin, and at the moment we try to rebuild the mucosa. His progresses are like a miracle and we are optimistic to get him fully recovered, but without the reserach from Dr. Wakefiled and his colleagues, this miracle wouldn´t be possible.

So I signed today the petition and I wish you and your team the very best; you have done so much for these children.

Thank you for give us hope and showing us the way out of the nightmare called autism. We now get our little son back, but it is still a long and hard way to go.

We hope that in future people will stop the experiment on babies called vaccines, in many cases it is tragic, so in ours.

It´s difficult for us to find the words because we now have the chance to get a normal life,

As a learning disability nurse and a volunteer working with children with autism for a number of years, it amazes me the number of parents who tell me that their child had the MMR and then regressed- some of these children were talking!! I know of a set of triplets- 2 had the MMR and 1 didn't- now the 2 who did are autistic, 1 is severely autistic.

On reading books such as Dr Richard Halvorsen's The Truth About Vaccines and how we are used as guinea pigs without knowing it, I am utterly astounded at the fact that mercury has been included into vaccinations! Particularly childhood vaccinations!

On reading up on articles and anything i can get my hands on relating to autism and the topic of the MMR and its link, I am highly aware that the media tries to tell just ONE side of the story- and this one side is often (most always) wrong. The media states that Wakefield said that the MMR was and is the cause of autism when in fact he was saying that the MMR can cause conditions such as autism and other developmental disabilities and disorders of internal systems in SOME SUSCEPTIBLE children, and this is something the media fails to aknowledge. Its annoying.

I have also come across the fact that the governement and DoH won't address the issue and appear to be concerned about the repercussions of the results if a fair research trial was carried out. I wonder what the results would be, how many children would develop autism and such linked disorders if we looked at all children having single vaccinations against measles, mumps and rubella over a period of 10 years or so? I wonder what the findings would be? Or if the separate vaccinations were provided freely at surgeries and clinics and a choice given to parents- i really would love to know the findings if such a study was carried out. I wonder if that person would get the permission to carry out a study like that?

To close I wish Andrew Wakefield every success in this case and I am very proud at the work he is conducting at Thoughtful House, as well as to his collegues.

Thank you so much for your devotion, passion and determination.  I have the highest respect for you and the work you do.  I have 3 boys (11, 6, & 3).  All of them are special needs and have/had food sensitivities and gut issues.  My oldest regressed 4 weeks after the MMR shot was given to him at 14 months.  It took us another 4 years until we found a doctor like you, Scott Faber in Pgh, PA.  With supplements, probiotics, ABA, strict diets for gluten, casein and soy as well as OT, PT and speech therapy, my oldest is recovered from PDD.  He still has his strengths and weaknesses, but he will live a normal life.  My 6 year old is ADHD and has greatly improved with special diets as well.  He is also recovered and no longer meets criteria for ADHD.  We still have good days and bad days, but he has come a long way.  My youngest, Luke will be 4 next week.  He is my most severe; his diagnosis is moderate autistic.  We have a long way to go with him, but with Dr. Faber and the work from doctors like you, I am confident that he will get better.  Luke has had most of his shots but not the MMR yet.  I often wonder about the other shots he has had and ones that I have had like the flu shot and 6 Rhogham shots (I'm O - ).  Keep doing what you believe in because it has made a difference for thousands of children.  Someday, the world will see what a brilliant doctor you really are.

Andy Wakefield’s research gave my grandson a chance to have a normal life. At the age of 4 he went on to the recommended gluten & dairy-free diet. At the same time he was given intensive education using the Lovaas technique. He is now 16 with an impressive knowledge & interest in history. His art & computer skills are amazing and he does well in all his school subjects – some like math with extra help – but he shows signs of being able to go to university and take his place in the world as a relatively normal human being. Without Andy Wakefield’s intervention, none of this would have been possible. We hold Andy in very high esteem & it is unbelievable that he should be undergoing such a gruelling examination by the GMC . We need people like him to continue their research so that eventually autistic regression can be avoided. Too many children have suffered adverse reactions to immunisation for this to be ignored by the medical profession. Most of us have great respect for our doctors but as one eminent professor said to me – they are not always right.

I have a daughter that is now 4 ½ years old. She was healthy until about the age of 2 ½. She became very sick after her 2 year vaccinations and then even worse after we gave her the flu shot that following fall. Her legs were swollen for months from the injections, her face became swollen and puffy, and she had rashes and fever for months at a time. In fact, her temperature stayed around 100 for no reason. She began repeating cartoon episodes, lost all eye contact, and withdrew from her family and loved ones. There is no doubt in my mind that she was damaged from vaccines. Thank you Dr. Wakefield for helping our children…at least you are trying. I can’t say that for my pediatrician and the APA.

Dear Andy,

I have watched in gratitude and appreciation for the work you have done and the sacrifices you continue to make for our children. You didn't ask for this, and you could have hid from the furor, but you didn't and you continue to stand and say what you know and what is right. I'm sure this has taken an insane toll on you personally and professionally.

My son had his first MMR at nearly 12 months of age. Up until that point he would laugh and play at the diaper changing table; we had a game we played with the baby powder, and he had this cute little grin and an adorable chortle and would stare at my face to see my reactions. Soon after that shot he began fighting me at diaper changes, often kicking and screaming to get away from me. I didn't understand what had changed at the time. One month after his MMR, I was changing his diaper on a blanket on the playroom floor... he fought me so hard at a diaper change, he stood up and threw his body into a workout machine, and I had to take him to the ER to repair a detached frenulum which bled all over. Never again did we have the fun time we used to have at diaper changes and the direct look he used to give me was gone... I think he was in pain.

He had had medical problems before the MMR; it now turns out he had a milk allergy and I think he didn't handle earlier shots well... but after he got that shot he really changed. He had other vaccine reactions after that... it was all a cumulative negative progression into a regression. He continued to develop good language into his second year, and after that was continually getting sick. The 7 vaccines he received at 19 months with 25 mcg of thimerosal on top of already being ill with fever and ear infection and being treated for antibiotics, on the same day he was given THOSE shots, he was given 10 additional days of antibiotics.

As I said, after age two, he was just chronically ill, and at one point losing weight. He was so sick and tired at his 3rd birthday party, he just wanted to lay down on a towel and all he could say is "bed." Thank God he never got the 2nd MMR; the first is one of my largest regrets. He didn't get diagnosed with autism until he was 3 1/2. I thought his language regression was due to all the ear infections and perhaps he couldn't hear well. Plus of course he had all the accompanying GI problems. (Kinda all intertwined I later learned!)

I found a Defeat Autism Now! doctor when he was 4 1/2, and his life and ours turned around. So many things with his poor messed up system got so much better. After years of biomedical, and support from knowledgeable doctors, he dramatically improved. So much for diarrhea and ear infections "being part of autism" as I was told by one local pediatrician!

My typically developing child was on track in all areas of development PRIOR to his 15 month shots.  At that time (July 14, 2006), Ayden received 3 pokes containing 8 different cocktails of POISON, one of those cocktails was the MMR.  I had requested thimerosol-free vaccines for ALL of my son's vaccines (from the time of birth); however, I believe that request was not fulfilled.  But then again trace amounts or not, there are still multiple other poisons in these so-called safe vaccines.  Within 3 weeks, my son regressed so dramatically that it was quite evident the vaccinations overloaded him beyond his capacity.  Quickly he shut down, lost all speech, lost all previously mastered play skills, shut down socially, stopped responding to his name, began hand flapping and toe walking and quite honestly turned into an empty shell.  His eyes looked empty and he seemed to be hallow inside.  Within a few months, the GI issues began and they came with a vengeance.  Over the next few months, I spent every sleepless night searching the Internet, reading books, doing whatever I could to try and find answers as to how I could help my son.  Thankfully, I ran across the Autism Research Institute's website where I learned about DAN! doctors, Dr. Wakefield and many others.  Shortly after this find, we made our first appointment with the doctors at the Thoughtful House…..within a month or so my family was sitting in the lobby of the Thoughtful House waiting for our appointment.  We were the first appointment of the day so we were the only ones there….and in walks Dr. Wakefield.  We only spoke briefly - a simple good morning, how are you - but had you been in the room with my husband, son and I at the time, you would have thought we had just seen an angel.  My husband chuckled at my reaction…..but I didn't care.  I told him - don't you know who that is??  That is Dr. Andy Wakefield - his research efforts are what brought us here.  He and others like him have found out what the heck is going on and how our son got sick……….he and his research is going to help us get our little boy back.  From that day on, we have been practicing the biomedical approach…his gut is healing, he is finally feeling better and is the happiest little boy!!  It's not been an easy road and we still have a ways to go…..but in the short time since we started this process, our son has gone from CLASSIC AUTISM to PDD-NOS!!!!  He is doing amazing in preschool, he is working on social skills and is getting his language back.  If it weren't for the Apraxia he gained from the vaccine's POISON………you would almost not be able to tell that he is on the spectrum.

I can only imagine how difficult this journey has been for the Wakefield's - please know that we support you and are forever indebted to you!!  You are truly making a difference and saving our children!!!

Case of autism after MMR in Delhi

This is a story from my nursery school, which is not likely to reach you otherwise. I had an autistic boy called Sachin in my school. Sachin is now about 13 years old and attends the special section of a school in New Delhi. Sachin's parents told me that they have a video of Sachin at his first birthday party, babbling and pointing. Not long after that, Sachin was given the MMR vaccine and his parents noticed him changing about 4-7 days after that. Sachin stopped speaking, had staring spells, stopped responding to his name, and had crying spells that he had not had earlier. His parents immediately began to search for answers, but doctors initially assured them that things would be all right. However, things did not improve and at about 2 1/2 years of age Sachin was diagnosed with autism. I do not know if Sachin had obvious bowel problems. His parents did not discuss that with me and, if he had them, they probably would not have realised that they could be connected to his autism.

It is also to be noted that our Indian vaccines have high levels of mercury, but at the time when Sachin became autistic, fewer numbers of vaccines were given to children. We now have many more doses of mercury-laden vaccines on the pediatric schedule and many more cases of autism in the last 2-3 years. Because I run a school and am in touch with others who run schools, I am able to discern the trends. However, I do recall that Sachin's mother told me when he was about 5 years old that she knew of at least 4 other cases similar to Sachin's in her area, which would comprise several thousand families.

It is the height of absurdity to harass researchers for daring to even think that vaccines could be harmful as is being done to Andy Wakefield. This is getting to be a case of The Emperor's New Clothes- where everyone with any sense knows that vaccines and vaccine schedules need to be reviewed and researched, but the governments and their courtiers, the public health officials and doctors, and their promoters, the pharma fauners, are pretending that no one has noticed. These people are not even one step above doctors who practised bloodletting. At least doctors who made that mistake could claim a lack of scientific knowledge

My son regressed into autism in the weeks following his MMR injection in 1997; this regression included behaviors that I later came to understand were his response to the severe pain he experienced due to severe inflammatory bowel disease. After Thomas had his MMR, it became clear after several weeks that he was stressed and crying, most particularly unable to stand being in crowds. He started lining up toys and collecting, going the wrong way up slides, and banging doors repeatedly. He also started losing the words he had begun using, his cheeks were red, and he screamed. He also had runny stools - unpleasant and yellow. By three he was diagnosed as atypical ASD, and one year later he was diagnosed with bowel damage which has gotten progressively worse, most particularly after he has had impaction. He is in constant pain and needs pain relief throughout the day. He is on anti-inflammatory medication as well as a range of other medications like Movicol, senna, Losec, Motilium, etc. His behavior gets significantly worse when he is in pain. He screams with pain when he tries to urinate or pass a stool. He is on a very restricted diet as he gets inflamatory pain attacks lasting over a week when he eats the wrong foods. He desperately needs the research to continue as his condition has recently deteriorated and we have been told he has permanent gastrointestinal damage. He cannot concentrate and moves around constantly; he passes wind and cannot burp. We are also using biomedics as well as consulting a homeopath who is trying to stimulate his immune system and remove the effects of the MMR as well as desensitize his responses to food.

I'm a mother with a son who regressed into autism after MMR shot. He had horrible diarrhea and digestive problems. We found a diet that treated autism like a gut/brain infection; and with other complimentary therapies, our son is recovered. I started an organization to support dietary changes. We have over a thousand members from all over the world. All children that come to my organization for help have severe gut problems, ranging anywhere from diarrhea to constipation. I am not a scientist and I don't care what science tells me. I'm telling that that within six years, I have encountered tens of thousands of families that said their child was fine until the MMR shot and then regressed into autism. I am so sick and tired of hearing my same story over and over again. I'm sick that not much has changed in the six years that I've been in the world of autism. My heart is almost broken for Andrew Wakefield and his family. I'm sorry for everything they have endured. I have to thank Andrew for my son's recovery. If it wasn't for his research, it would have never led me to diet because doctors and therapists were not recommending or encouraging it. I will never stop fighting for you.

I have signed and fully support this petition on behalf of Dr. Wakefield, who I had the privilege of meeting at a conference in Austin, Texas back in 2002. This was at a time that I was agonizing what I (we, my wife and I) what we did wrong with our first child not knowing anything about autism.

I had explained to him that I had read an article questioning the safely about vaccinations, but it was the farthest thing on my mind since I didn’t know better. That the burden was on my shoulders, where did we go wrong? He was very caring and told me not to feel this way, that it wasn’t the parents' fault. And with the proper early interventions we could save our son.

This was hard to believe at first, I was very hard on myself and pretty much a wreak emotionally inside, but have always remembered his words of advice. Our son has improved, but still has many mountains to climb.

I openly asked him to stay at my house, if he ever visited Houston, and that he will always be welcomed. I still feel the same; he is a good man amongst much profiteering evil in modern medicine.

In due time, Andrew Wakefield - you will have your good name back. More than just another Doctor, more importantly you are a great human being and that fact alone no one can take away!
